Semey Polling Stations Were Equipped for People with Disabilities

Necessary conditions were created at the polling stations in Semey so that people with disabilities could use their constitutional right.

Authorities provided individual opportunities at polling stations, taking into account the needs of people with disabilities: polling stations were equipped with headphones, information about the elections was available on Braille stencils, additional lighting and magnifiers were installed, sign language interpreters worked at the polling stations as well.

Moreover, there were 11 invotaxis in the city to take voters with disabilities to and from polling stations at their place of residence. The city also organized a mobile precinct commission for voting at home.
